2006 Red Herring Top 100
Nextrials was presented with the 2006 Red Herring 100 North America Award. Over 1,000 privately held technology companies were considered for this prestigious award that recognizes new and innovative technology firms and their entrepreneurial founders. Nextrials was rigidly evaluated on quantitative and qualitative criteria such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy and integration into their ecosystem.

2006 Bio-IT 50
Nextrials was named to Bio-IT World’s Bio-IT 50, a list of the top life sciences firms that, in the opinion of the editors, provide the most indispensable, enabling technologies for pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations. In selecting Nextrials for the list, editors noted that the company “has an unusually full-featured EDC application that works across multiple phases of trials.” Calling the company “small but powerful,” the editors also highlighted the fact that Nextrials is pioneering the electronic transfer of laboratory data in accordance with the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) standards.

Robert Lyons Named to PharmaVOICE 100 List
In August 2005, co-founder and chief technology officer Robert F. Lyons was named to the PharmaVOICE 100 list in recognition of his leadership and innovation in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries. Dr. Lyons is one of the key people behind the development and adoption of the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium’s (CDISC) standard, an XML data standard that is changing the way data are transmitted and used by clinical-trial researchers. Dr. Lyons also is credited with leading the architectural design for the firm’s flagship product, Prism.

BioIT World Best of Show
Nextrials’ innovation and technical merit were recognized in March 2004 at the Bio-IT World Expo with a “Best of Show” award in clinical trials and research. Prism’s drug and device inventory management system was named the “Most Innovative Product,” superior to Oracle Corporation’s EDC software and PHT Corp’s handheld diary device.

Frost and Sullivan Customer Value Enhancement Award
Nextrials also received the 2004 “Customer Value Enhancement Award” in the electronic trials market by Frost & Sullivan. The award acknowledges Nextrials’ success at establishing long-term relationships with its customers and keeping pace with evolving end-user demands by constantly incorporating customer feedback into each product enhancement.
