PRISM FEATURES: Laboratory Data Management

Prism’s labs data management feature was designed to meet the critical industry need for comprehensive maintenance of disparate lab data. Prism maintains unit and range data for hundreds of local and central labs. When new labs are added to the system, they are immediately accessible for all Nextrials projects. This allows sites to enter lab data results while the system automatically assigns units and calculates out-of-range values and SI conversions on the fly. Like all features of Prism, the labs feature is tightly integrated with the CRF data and query management systems so missing values are flagged for follow up and out-of-range values are automatically queried in accordance with project-specific range restrictions. Data transfers to the sponsor include local lab results and units, as well as their SI conversions, so that analysis tasks can be performed on a unified set of values.
